ULIS students attend ASEP 2019 (Asian Student Environmental Platform)
On August, 1st-6th, 2019, in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap, Cambodia, the 8th ASEP under the theme “Sustainable peace building” was held with the participation of 8 outstanding students from VNU, including 2 students from ULIS, together with other young students from 10 countries in Asia.
Launched in 2012, the Asian Student Environmental Platform is an annual program sponsored by the AEON Environment Fund (Japan), with the goal of raising environmental awareness, protecting the environment, and conserving biodiversity as well as creating opportunities for outstanding students from top Asian universities to meet, exchange, learn and discuss common issues in each country, region as well as all over the world.
Vietnam 10-member delegation including 02 officials and 08 students from VNU attended all activities and made positive contributions to the general success of the event.
Throughout the event, apart from hearing lectures, presentations by experts and guests, students had the opportunity to work in groups to apply an interdisciplinary approach with natural and social sciences combined to solving a problem, which was then presented in 7 minutes and assessed by the Professor Council.
