On March 11^th, 2022, ULIS-VNU held a scientific seminar under the topic “The situation of Korean language teaching in high schools in Vietnam”.

The event is part of the series of events of UNC 2022 and also an activity under the Project “Building a training system to create and research to develop Korean studies in Vietnam” funded by AKS Core.

Organized in the form of a combination, the seminar attracted more than 800 participants.

Delivering his opening ceremony, President Do Tuan Minh said that ULIS is honored and proud to have contributed to building the cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Korea during the past 30 years, since Korean was introduced to the school as second foreign language in 1994.

During the program, 6 presentations were presented. The presentations mentioned many contents about the implementation of Korean language teaching in high schools nationwide and future development orientations.

The last part of the program were exchange, discussion and question-answering activities. Many questions about methods of learning Korean, teaching and Korean in Vietnam were raised.

The seminar provided a lot of useful information for the participants.
