On October 7^th, 2022, at Viettel Academy, the conference “Teaching and learning foreign languages in the digital transformation era in military academies and schools” took place. The seminar was jointly organized by the Department of Schools, the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army and ULIS-VNU. This is also an event held within the framework of UNC 2023.

Delivering his speech at the opening ceremony, Major General, Dr. Tran Ngoc Thanh – Deputy Director of the Department of Schools, General Staff, Vietnam People’s Army expected that the conference would contribute to promoting digital transformation in teaching and learning foreign languages; strengthen the exchange of research results, propose ideas on training program innovation, etc.

At the conference, 10 papers were presented, including 1 report delivered by President Do Tuan Minh. He conveyed 3 messages when conducting digital transformation: “Don’t panic, Learn to ‘live together’, Don’t leave anyone behind”.

The other 9 papers presented were also highly practical, helping participants update the current situation of digital transformation and foreign language education in military schools and academies. At the same time, the newly shared technologies and methods of teaching and learning were really useful and highly applicable information for the participating teachers.
