Online seminar “Diplomatic interpretation” with former Deputy Prime Minister Vu Khoan

On March 20th, 2022, the Division of Translation, Faculty of English Language Teacher Education, in collaboration with the English Translation & Interpretation Club ETIC, successfully organized an online seminar “Diplomatic Interpretation” with the participation of a very special speaker – former Deputy Prime Minister Vu Khoan.

The “Diplomatic Interpretation” seminar is part of a series of four seminars on sharing and consulting on the translation and interpreting profession, within the framework of the contest “The Next Translator 2022” organized by the Division of Translation, Faculty of English Language Teacher Education.

The seminar received the attention and enthusiastic participation of nearly 500 people, mainly ULIS students from many different faculties.

Speaking at the opening of the seminar, Vice President Lam Quang Dong, representing the University’s leaders, expressed his gratitude to the speaker – former Deputy Prime Minister Vu Khoan for taking the time to attend, share and interact with students.

During the sharing period of the seminar, through very close and true daily life stories, Mr. Vu Khoan brought valuable experience in the field of diplomatic interpretation to all the teachers and students.

At the end of the seminar, there were warm words of gratitude from the audience to Mr. Vu Khoan.
